We’re excited to share the Dragon Copilot 3.5.0 release, which introduces new capabilities that help clinicians spend less time on documentation and more time with patients, while giving administrators stronger, more flexible controls for managing AI use across their organization. Several additional enhancements are also included, so be sure to review the full release notes for a complete overview.
Actionable Features – Unlock Full Value
These updates require a quick setup to maximize benefits for your team and customers.

Smarter customizable templates

Customizable templates can now use both your note and transcript for richer, more accurate documentation. You can choose per template whether it processes: Note + transcript, note only, or transcript only. This helps pull in key patient details, reuse information across sections, and better capture risks in the Assessment & Plan.
  • Who: Clinicians/physicians
  • Where: All regions
  • Admin callout:
    • Nuance‑provisioned: On by default
    • Microsoft‑provisioned: Enable Transcript‑aware customizable templates in Dragon admin center (Physicians > Settings > Generative AI).
Do more with one Dragon Copilot Chat prompt
Dragon Copilot Chat now supports multi‑intent (compound) prompts, so you can complete several tasks at once—for example, update a note, capture codes, and pull in supporting info from trusted sources in a single prompt.
  • Who: Clinicians/physicians (US)
  • Admin callout:
    • Nuance‑provisioned: Off by default – contact your Microsoft Customer Success Manager or support to enable.
    • Microsoft‑provisioned: On by default – manage under Settings > Generative AI > Multi‑intent prompts in Dragon admin center.

Features That Just Work – No Action Needed

Safe web search in Dragon Copilot Chat
Safe web search lets you bring in relevant information from additional web sources directly in Dragon Copilot Chat, while using encounter context and safeguards to reduce the risk of clinical misinformation and keep responses transparent.
  • Who: Clinicians/physicians (US)
  • Admin callout: No action required. Microsoft can turn this off at the organizational‑unit level on request.
